ASCE South Carolina Live PE Exam Review Course.
Registration will open January 11, 2010
The South Carolina Section will be offering the ASCE Live PE Exam Review Course. The course will be offered in Columbia and Charleston. Registration will be open January 11th via the Section’s online registration service. Registration cost is $200 per person. Course handout material will be provided.
The course will be taught by a team of experienced PE Exam Review instructors, and will be presented as a series of 15 two-hour modules held over a seven week period. These webinars are designed to provide you with the focused and deeper knowledge level that you need in each subject area to prepare for the pm session of the PE Exam. All sessions are 3:00PM to 5:00PM EST.

The Citadel School of Engineering's 3rd Annual Professional Activities Event (PAE) - NEW DATE!
Tuesday, February 9, 2010The Citadel School of Engineering is having its 3rd Annual Professional Activities Event (PAE) at The Holliday Alumni Center in Charleston, South Carolina on Tuesday, February 9th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The PAE is a fundraising activity for The Citadel’s ASCE and IEEE Student Chapters. For a donation of $100 (i.e. a White Sponsor), a resume book with resumes from freshman to seniors will be mailed to you. A donation of $500 (i.e. a Blue Sponsor) will entitle a company to a booth at the PAE and a resume book. In past years, over 90% of our students have attended the PAE.
The PAE allows companies to recruit interns and permanent employees from some of the best civil and electrical engineering undergraduates in the nation (The Citadel’s School of Engineering is ranked No. 26 for best undergraduate engineering programs by US News and World Report). In addition, participants of the PAE will be fostering the professional skills that make our students and preparing them for the future.

Please provide a detailed and informative abstract. The abstract will be
used to evaluate the technical quality of the proposed presentation and
should consist of a minimum of 250 words, but no more than 500 words.
The abstract should be written in English. Please include a short
biography of the presenter, highlighting career and presentation
experience and providing contact information on the abstract. Please, no
more than two (2) presenters per paper.

Unless otherwise noted, Branch meetings are held at the Brookland Banquet and Conference Center (1054 Sunset Blvd., West Columbia); on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Meetings are from 11:30am until 1:00pm and include lunch. Costs are $15.00 for Members & Non-Members, $10.00 for Government Employees, Students are Free.
Please register in advance through C-VENT.
Adopt-a-Highway events are scheduled as indicated. The group meets at the Carolina Pottery parking lot across from Lowes on US Highway 1 in West Columbia (right beside I-26). Refreshments are typically provided starting at 11:30am and the pickup begins at 12:00pm and ends around 1:00pm.
